Almost every day I look at (hate them) Gallup. I'm thinking as long as that approval number is above 50, it's savable. Then one day I got a shock-- Frank Newport, PhD (Ha!) and Grand Poo-bah at Gallup, explained himself... seems someone interpreted the poll wrong! The shame! And such an important poll too! Clear this up, NOW FRANK!
Gallup controls the people FRANK! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN????
The republicans could SEE this, HURRY! Get back to the message, Frank!! Now! Remember OBAMA is BAD, POPE is GOOD, BECK is GOOD... HOW COULD YOU DO THIS, FRANK???
We can read freaking Gallup three times a day for the rest of our lives and if there is a way to make President Obama look bad they will do it. No polling mistakes there to clear up...
It's so bad that I thought they made a mistake one day with a paragraph titled:
January 28, 2010
Americans With Postgraduate Education Still Back Obama
Whites show greater disparity in support by education than blacks do
I
It took me two seconds to realize, no he wasn't. That's a bad thing. Ole Frank himself may have a PhD, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get a job. And phew! Thank goodness he made it clear that WHITES still show a greater disparity. So, what do we have here, just the smart whites and the dumb blacks.... or do we count smart blacks? I wonder if you're a smart black you get called an "African American." That must be how gallup distinguishes it. Well, he's not polling them, because I've never seen any of those.
No, among the republicans it's downright shameful to be smart. The nerve! Haven't the libruls even heard of "the creationist museum?" If those smart libruls would just go there, and take their scintists, and environmentlists with them they would know... the earth is only six thousand years old... and we couldn't have desented from apes... that would make us dumb. Yep, Pepples flintstone was Adam and Eve's first child. And Eve decided to keep the baby, even though she wasn't quite sure what that meant. I just realized that Adam and Eve's last name must have been Flintstone. Mr&Mrs Flintstone.
So what is this big mystery that drove Frank, PhD (Ha!) to the brink, the very brink of the flat world? What must he explain in his data that keeps him from going over the edge?

Who Is More Admired -- Glenn Beck or Pope Benedict?
It’s always gratifying to see esteemed journalists and commentators refer to Gallup poll results. Case in point is The Washington Post’s Dana Milbank, who led his Sunday column thusly: “It's official: Americans admire Glenn Beck more than they admire the pope.” Milbank’s conclusion is based on the annual Gallup poll of Most Admired Men.
However, I’m not sure this is the best interpretation of our Gallup data.
No, no, you see... it's the questions, it's the way they asked the questions you see... that, that is the point he's trying to make. It's about how you ask those questions.
Up until now, right up until that poll they asked the questions just right. Just the way it took to show that everything President Obama tried to do was hated, hated even by his one base, for Pete's sake... can't you see that? His own base! It's not just us ...liars, no that's not it, fundamentalists, no, no of course not, manipulators (!), noooo, what is that word I'm looking for-- not really republicans... POLLSTERS! It's not just us POLLSTERS who disagree with everything he does... it's everyone. It's even the Supreme Court for heavens sake! Weren't you there for the auction!? When that gavel came down America was sold and sold for good.
So what was this horrific question Gallup asked?
There are a number of ways to measure admiration. The poll to which Milbank refers is based on an open-ended question: “What man that you have heard or read about, living today in any part of the world, do you admire most?
Hmmmm.... is it just me? Did I miss something? Did they publish who the most admired man in the world was? Could it be.... maybe someone named... Obama? If you find it, I've got a falling down bridge to sell you.
